Housed in the historic Dominion Grand Hotel (est. 1899) in Gastown, this institution was renovated in late 2007. Intact are the original tin stamped ceilings, exposed brick walls, stained glass windows and railings. The rest of this storied room has been given a grand renovation, adding a new sound system, comfy furniture, flatscreen TVs and French doors open to a new patio. The Lamplighter is hands-down Vancouver's busiest neighbourhood pub.
